When the waves call, we answer.

Sometime on a Tuesday morning, Dane got the call from Tim Bonython. Swell was coming and it was going to be huge. We piled into a beat-up sedan and hit the road. The plan was to travel from Byron Bay to a secret spot down south. On nothing but burritos and Neil Young we drove 11 hours into the night.

Somewhere not here.

We’re going somewhere that’s not here. Riding the sunnwaves down that blue dream machine.

A drive is a dark place at night when the lights have gone to bed and there’s nothing but the black hole of the open road.

We arrive to the big wave rumble.

Dane waxes up the gun.

Dane checks the swell and decides it’s on.

Praying to the sea gods for massive barrels and minimal hold downs.
